What the website stores, what it does not collect and what happens when you contact the project.
Here for Someone is an independently run UK information project. It does not use advertising trackers or visitor analytics.
The crisis-plan tool
Nothing entered into the crisis plan is sent to Here for Someone. The page uses your browser's session storage to keep entries in the current tab, which allows them to survive a refresh. The entries can be removed with the Clear this plan button and will normally be removed when the tab is closed.
The contact form
The contact form asks for a message and subject. An email address is optional and is only needed if you would like a reply. Please do not include names, medical records or other identifying information about the person you support.
Netlify processes and stores form submissions so they can be delivered to Here for Someone. Messages are used to review feedback, correct the website and reply when requested. They are not used for marketing or sold. Messages will normally be deleted within 90 days, unless one needs to be kept longer to complete a correction or respond to a legal issue.
Website hosting
Netlify hosts the website and may process technical information needed to deliver and protect it, such as request and security logs. Here for Someone does not use this information to build visitor profiles. The website's fonts are stored with the site, so loading a page does not make a font request to Google.
Links to other organisations
The website links to the NHS, charities, forums and other services. If you follow one of those links, that organisation's own privacy information applies.
Questions or requests
Use the contact form on the About page and choose Something else. Include a reply email if you would like a response. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
